 5th Annual Hudson Meet July 29th and 30th 2006
Hudson Meets We are happy to announce the fifth annual Alberta Hudson Meet to be held July 29th and 30th in Leduc Alberta. Hosted by Sean and Diane Wetherall. We will be holding the event in conjuction with the Leduc West Antique Society. Come on out and bring your Hudson, it will be a chance to enjoy a day of Hudson viewing. Come meet and talk to fellow Hudson owners. This year we are trying a new date for the event to see if we can avoid the cold and wet weather. Everyone is welcome and we have a fun and interesting day planned so come on out and support Hudsons in Canada. Please invite your friends so they can see what Hudsons are all about.

Location

Event will be held in Leduc Alberta at the Alberta Heritage Exposition Park. This beautiful park houses a permanent exhibit of cultural heritage buildings. It is located 5 km west of Leduc on Hwy 39 and 1 km north on Cohnedale Road. I will post a better description of how to get there soon.

Confirmation

Those who are coming can you please phone Sean at the number below to RRSVP so we know how many to expect.

Details and Agenda

Arrival: Anytime after 9:00am is fine Please try and be there before noon. Register when you get there so we know who you are.
Meet and Greet: Park your cars. Display those beauties and tell everyone about them. We ask that people with cars try arrive early so we can setup a nice display for all the people that will be at the park. Remember lots of people will be there to see the other displays so this is a great opportunity for us to show people how great the Hudson brand is. As is always the case when people see Hudsons expect lots of people and lots of questions.

Lunch: Please bring your own lunch or get something to eat at the site.

After lunch take in the sites and activities at the park or just stay and talk Hudsons (what could be better)

Supper: Depends on what people want to do. There is food available at the location. The park will have food available. It would be nice to keep the pot luck supper tradition alive. If everyone could bring a dish it would make for a nice evening. Bring deck chairs and anything else you need to be comfortable. Bring pictures of your cars and be ready to have a nice evening of talk. Please if you have a preference to get food at the site let us know so we can plan the supper.

Accomodation

We are really hoping that we get a lot of Hudson lovers coming in for the meet. I know we have a lot of Canadian and American Hudson owners and we extend a warm invitation to come join us. If you would like to attend and would prefer a hotel instead of RV or camping contact us at the number below and we will be happy to help with info and hotels.

Camping/RV: camping is available at the park for $10 for the weekend. So if you need to stay over, bring your camping gear.

Activities for Kids

The park has a lot of stuff for kids to see and do so it would make a nice family day and being as it is in July we might have nice weather. See the Petting Zoo ride the barrel train, enjoy the playground. Of course no guarantees on the weather Smile

Parts Swap

The best thing about a get together is trying to find those parts you need so if you have some you want to swap or sell please bring them along and we will setup a table for you to display what you have. Last year no one brought anything so lets try and get something going this year. I am sure you will get a lot of interested Hudson owners taking a look. For more info contact us below.

I see the announcement for our 2006 Hudson Meet. I am looking forward to the day when our get together does not require extreme clothing. This might be the year. I will likely send the meet info to the Canadian publication 'Old Autos' out of Bothwell, Ontario to spread the word.
