| Did anyone catch the floaty (I don't know what they're called) pen on eBay recently? It was from a dealer and had an early stepdown floating in the upper half. It was cool, and floaty.

I have seen these appear from time to time. Which leads to another topic what other Hudson items do you collect or own. I have nearly every brochure Hudson produced, I have all the Hudson Merchandisers, service letters, dealer to owner letters, dealer to factory letters. I have all the film strips and records for training sales men plus all the written courses and tests. I have the five star dealer program. The blueprints and factory guides to building all the shelving units for a dealership and even the factory color sample for how to paint the building and show rooms. I have nearly all of the technical and parts manuals ....can't get enough of this stuff....I also have a 1949 sales poster from a New York Hudson dealer and lots of odds and ends......so if you have any stuff or know of sources let me know in a post or pm......

Okay guys, I did not buy the hudson pen.
As far as floaties, I got a great one that has a 49 or 50 oldsmobile in it, but no hudson one, yet....
I have seen a pen marked "ford" that was on a Parker vacumatic, specifically a date coded 1938 example, but as far as other higher end vintage pens marked by an automotive example, seems pencils and floaties were the norm.
I think a gold filled parker 51 presentation set or even a gold presidential parker 51 with hudson crests on it for an anniversary presentation would get me excited.

51 hornet,
You've got yourself quite a stash there. How much of the printed material is in the forum library? Hudsonkid and I will be right over.

Lads,
I am working my way through the scanning of this stuff to share with members here. I say whats the use of having a library when no one can get stuff.
If there is anything you want me to scan or share or info you are looking for let me know.

We thirst for the knowledge of all that is Hudson. Quench our dried and shriveled old brains (Oh, thought I was somewhere else for a moment there...what's that mothball smell? Thankfully it's fading). We want it all!
I have the shop, owners and Hydra-manuals as well as the dealer brochure and most books written on Hudson. But, I'd groove on anything that's specific to my 53 Hornet such as tech bulletins, dealer stuff, factory photos, etc.
Swing those library doors open and, please, no talking!
