I have a '39 CC sedan that someone had removed 5 of the 10 leaf springs from both front sides, leaving the car to almost rest on the frame with only about a 1/2 inch suspension travel. I was wondering if anyone had some used springs or knows of another option to get this car riding like it once did. I may have to put a modern clip or something else on it, as even though it looks nice lowered like that, it will eventually self distruct from this defect and is extremely tiring to drive for any distance at all!

Hi,

welcome to our Hudson site. I would check out the folks at Eaton Springs www.eatonsprings.com/index.html I think they might be able to fix you up with some springs.

Depending on your location there are some Hud people I can suggest to get some used leaf springs from.

Also take a look at this ebay auction the buy it now price is pretty good.

Do you have any pics of your car you can upload? I would like to see what it looks like.

Sean
