I run litle broplem to fit air bags to rear axle. if i remove panhard then i dont need to do major jobs for body. i think its not so critical to remowe it, there is meny leaf spring end cars where there is no panhard. But what you think or do you know if enyone has remowed it. hope you understand my poor englis and what i mean Rolling Eyes .

Kerpele the panhard bar stops the rear end from jumping side ways under acceleration I have driven cars with it removed the rear of the car has a tendency to wag when you corner or accelerate. Its not something I would recommend removing.

Although the use of Panhard rods are more critical on cars with coil springs, the inherent nature of leaf springs does provide lateral stability. However, Hudson was heavily focused on over-engineering their cars. Since air bags are nothing more than air springs, they have even less lateral stability than coil springs. In a nut shell, you need the Panhard rod to keep the rear axle on center.

Ah, now I see what you're doing. You're keeping the leaf springs, just removing a few to lower the car. If you're just using the air bags for lift, removing the Panhard rod may be OK. However, take it easy on those fast turns until you get a feel for how the car handles without the rod. Smile You can always put the rod back on.
