Friday I took my daughter over to the Powerama car show. I went looking for some muffler and exhaust ideas for my Hornet. Got some nice catalogs and stickers from some of the bigger vendors. I like to mention Hudson to see their eyes glaze over. I find you have to get the catalogs and decide yourself if what they are selling will fit.

I plan on adding disk brakes to my Hornet I am going to go with a billet aluminum booster and master cylinder. I will have to fabricate a new pedal mount off the back of the firewall and reroute all of the lines. I found a dealer that can get me all the parts I need. They have low profile setup that I think will fit in nicely and it comes in a cast look. I don't want that polished look under the hood.

We also saw AJ from Overhaulin. When we went in she was sitting on her own in the back corner of the show. She looked very nice in her Overhaulin shirt and she looks just like she does on the show and does not seem to wear alot of makeup. Nice lady. I thought to myself it must be as boring as hell sitting at these shows.

I also found a mint 1951 license plate for my Hornet. Could not believe it I have been searching for 2 years and found nothing. I almost didn't see the guy I went over and asked thinking I would get the usual answer. He said sure I have one here somewhere. Its in mint condition and was cheap. That find paid for the price of admission for me.

We were walking around looking at all the nice cars from the 30's through 70's they had some really nice fully stock cars. Just as we had given up finding a Hudson we found Bob Callfas's 37 Terraplane which is a really nice example. I have uploaded a picture of the car at the show so look in the gallery for it.

I am going to have to get my butt in gear and finish the work I am doing on my Hornet as it would be nice to have a section in these types of shows with more Hudsons. Its a good thing Bob is getting out to the shows or most people would never see a Hudson.
