| In 6 months we will see a maroon 54 doing 50 in the passing lane, with the right turn signal flashing..... rock on old timer!

More vehicles today are coming with directional warning systems. The manufacturers today must see a pending turn signal being left on epidemic coming.
I give this guy lots of credit. He's restoring a Hudson and plans to drive it....fast! Hopefully, we will make it to that age and be able to play with our toys.

| I saw an old dude at a cruise-in a couple of weeks ago, maybe 70 ish. Wearing black peg-leg jeans, white t-shirt with a pack of Camels in the sleeve, ballcap on backwards driving a Nailhead powered Ford Highboy... he built it in '63 and still takes it out on weekends. Some old guys still get out there and have a blast with the cars of their youth. Car people are some of the nicest, and whacked out people you can meet..... it's all good.

Unfortunately, some people get old on the inside too. Sure, as we mature, we take on a different persona. However, you've got to "shake it" at every chance you get, unless you really want to turn into an old curmudgeon. It's like the old guy you mentioned, 70ish but looking and acting younger. I bet he's not doing it to fit in or appear to be something that he's not. He's showing the world that although his body may be old, he's still youthful on the inside. I'd rather see an oldster look like this. I'm getting really tired of seeing the walking dead wandering around car shows in Sansabelts hiked up to their chest. If I didn't have to "conform" to the appearance required in business, I'd still be sporting my butt length hair and ZZ Top beard. Even so, the guy who looked like that in the past is still in there.

| I've still got the 16" ponytail, however the ZZ Top beard was trimmed to a more manageable length a couple of years ago. I may grow it back, it scares the crap out of some people when I put a dozen braids in it or bead it! (my neice started braiding it a few years ago and said I looked like Blackbeard the Pirate)

I kept my PT until the late 80's. However, the wife had to braid it every morning so I could tuck it into my collar. So, rather than fight with it, I went with a short, buzzy kind of look that is so popular with the sullen youth of today. Still have the beard, albeit more tame now. Moe/Blackbeard, sounds like you're a Johnny Depp wanna be? How's the eye make-up coming along? LOL

| Nowdays, its one false eyelash and a rather large codpiece most of the time, and my 4x beaver derby of course. Johnny Depp is a Moe wannabe.
