I think the color is really shocking and makes the car look goofy. It looks like a late production with the rear wheel opening flared out...no chance for skirts. Would be a good project if the price were right.

I think skirts still fit on this car. I like the interior and I would be repainting a different colour as job one.

I could be wrong, but I think that skirts were being eliminated late in the 54 production run, especially on the Hornet Specials. Anyway, this car needs lots more than paint and skirts. Still, it's the last year for a "real" Hudson. I like the leather interior, but the screaming yellow paint has to go. The last time I saw a yellow 54, it was much lighter.

Kallis is right when you look at that pic above the car looks like a toy model. I expect to see a plastic train beside it.
You can run skirts on this car.
Yeah could be a taxi. I guess we can buy and start Hudson Taxi....

I think the color makes the car look toy-like. As far as skirts go, you can run them on a school bus. However, the Hornet Specials were a stripped down version of a Hornet. Most I've seen lack skirts.

| The original off white showing on the drivers door looks like it may have been a pretty good color, I couldn't really tell, kind of ivory or maybe a real pale green. Looks like a decent car, even if it is yellow cab-goldenrod yellow.

About the only [original] color this car could have been is Coronation Cream. Sean boy has the hots for Palm Beach Green...Mmmmm, minty.

Convering into a taxi is one way to get your money back on the purchase and restoration.
