Sorry, no comparison. Mine, complete with flying turd hood ornament, is better (except for the backwards steering wheel and pedals) and that's all there is to it. Now if yours didn't have skirts... What's the stuff hanging from the driver's door?

Expensive because it's rare. The 40 would look better if it had a more radical roof-line, like a Buick or Cadillac sedanette.

| Rare doesn't mean squat. Desireable is the key. If there are only two, and the only guy that wants one has one, the other isn't as valuable. That is gorgeous coachwork, even if it is from across the pond, on a backassward chassis. I'll bet it would go bonkers at B-J. (as long as the paper trail is good)

Come on, rare has lots of meaning. It's supply and demand. Just watch the BJ auctions. Most of the bidders will buy anything, if it's presented right. I bet I could crap in the back seat of a rusted out 57 Hash, claim that it was left there by a 50's celebrity, and sell it for big bucks at BJ.

ur....Dave I think thats stretching it. A 57 Hash would never sell crap or no crap. You would market it as crap with crap in it.......
Never happen. Hudson England made a lot of those saloon cars I have a book on them. They come out of the woodwork all the time. One thing I like was the Brits used to mate up a four speed standard so these cars would top a hundred.

Right you are Sean. Say, do you remember the title of the book on the English Hudsons?

Sure I do Dave. Its called 'Hudson and Railton Cars' its still out there I see it sometimes. It nice because it has all the road tests and ads plus the writeups on which bodyworks built the bodies and Railton performance stats.

RARE! Model T coil box, yeah right, rare my arse, they made 18 million of the freaking things with 4 in every one of them!
For e-bay the terms old and rare get switched too often.

Maybe the term "rare" is in reference to the level of "doneness."

I love I just saw a book for sale on eBay that was listed as rare and its still in print. I think rare means less than 10 million.
