I don't really know what the ad is trying to say. I have never heard of a Hudson eight in a pickup. There are more of these around than the 17 he states. And its got a 318 in it. Usual misinformed stuff in the ad.

I saw this and thought, "Gee, Sean really likes pink pick-up trucks, maybe I should post it." No bids yet...

But it "Must" be rare! someone in the US put a Dodge motor in a vehicle and not a typical Chevy 350/350 combo. lol
Not worth $12,000 in my eyes.

The seller is a dreamer. Must have breathed in too many pink paint fumes.

It's a shame, but there are lots of people out there that will buy any fairly well done old body on a modern drivetrain for $8-10K
"Nice Hot Rod! (sorry about your small johnson)"

Face it, the price is way too high for what this vehicle is.

| He says the 318 is out of a 51 3/4T truck, toss the BS flag! IIRC, Dodge Trucks, even the power wagons were flat 6 poppers at the time. It may have once been sitting in a 51 3/4T truck, but it is a standard 318 from the late 70s, may even be one of those "lean-burn" nightmares from 77-79. It's got a freaking EGR Valve! Junkyard drivetrain likely a slushy 904, or maybe a 727 hanging behind it. If he is going to repower with mopar, at least do it right! Mopar Performance has crate motors on par as far as HP/TQ with the bowtie and blue ovals for about the same money both SB and BB.

Junkyard seat, 80's LTD II or T-Bird, Somebody will get suckered in on it. This schmekel likely has about $500 invested, and about 40 hrs time to slap it together, it will sell, that's a shame.
A stock Hudson is one hell of a truck!

| Now that I've looked a little closer, we need someone to go and pop the Hudson emblem off the hood, and retire it with honour. Those may be Tempo 2 door 85-88 seats, they look really familiar, They are Ford for sure. (A buddy of mine owns a 60 Acre junkyard, I almost lived there for years)

Careful with the hood ornament...it probably holds the truck together.
With what we hear about the salt in the sea air, do cars actually last long enough in FL to make it to the junkyard?

| Cars last pretty well down here, as long as they get washed once in a while. Within a mile of the coast it's bad, but once you are a couple miles inland you are OK. My buddy's junkyard is in Upstate NY, on a calm night, you can hear the rust grinding away! After cars have been off the road for a while, if they are up off the ground, they will last quite a while up there. (I guess the rain and snow cleans enough of the salt off to slow the corrosion)The beaters on the road crumble in just a few years if you don't keep them clean and garaged. Junkyards and car brokers are a huge business down here. The yard pickins are pretty slim, most of the good stuff has been pulled and shipped up to the rust belt at premium prices.
