For right price would make a nice summer driver. I like the oil bath aircleaners.

True. I say install paper filter, turn the covers over and let that little Jet breath some.

Yeah I would mod these cleaners but I would keep them as they look cool. I am sure I could find a K&N filter to go in those.

I know each of those gigantic air clears only sits atop a 1bbl carb, but how can they breath through those little slits? Even in stock form, some tuning and tweaking could make this a little screamer.

Seemed to work ok but I might louver those to add more air and to make look cool and still remain semi stock....yes this engine screams...

Man, if I had a pile of spare cash, I'd buy a coupe and have the roofline lowered into a fastback/brougham style. As far as improving the breathing abilities, I'd toss a taller paper filter in each. That should raise the tops and do the trick.

I sure like the look of these red tub aircleaners. I have seen every type of aircleaner under the sun on these Jets. No consistency, red Twin H type, black Twin H type. Short tubs, tall tubs....weird.

Face it, they're quirky little cars. And with what you've said in mind, you could probably restore one of these any old way and still have it come out correct.

Yup, for sure if I see one up here for good price I am snapping it up to use as a daily in summer.

At least you'll be able to wear your fedora while you drive.

I need a good summer driver that is small enough to move in and around all the crap on the road. I also want to get one and fix it up and not care if it gets dinged.

Do you mean driving around all of the crime victims on the roads? Why bother fixing it if it's going to get dinged or donged?
