I saw that show on PBS a couple of months ago. That tank guy seems to have a lot of money and shop that is extraordinary....I like the torsion bar suspension rode nice and smooth to fire the gun....looked to be a field workers nightmare to fix. They showed how easy it was to fix the US tanks compared to this....

Yes indeed, the Panther was over engineered, too heavy and difficult to repair in the field. The Yank tanks were smaller, quicker and easier to repair.

And thats what counts if you can't repair them they are boat anchors still it was neat engineering...

I love those engines. Packard made some really smooth engines. Packard is my second fav independent.
