Folks,

my daughter and I went around to the antique stores the other day hunting for garage type stuff to dress up the garage a little. When lo' and behold my daughter comes up with a bundle of Hudson stuff, ads, pictures and literature. We quitely hooped it up then went and bought the lot.

Ended up with some pristine ads for Hudsons from the 30's through 54. Some really nice articles and some nice pics of Hudsons at NASCAR.

My daughter has a nack for finding this stuff so we are going to keep searching. We are amassing a great library of stuff. Going to put a poster board presentation together for the meet so people can see the history of Hudsons. Neat stuff. If I had got this stuff on ebay I would have paid an arm & leg. Got the lot for the price of one ebay item.

Just got two excellent books on engine rebuilding from the 50's these books were written for courses give by the University of Wisconsin on automotive engineering. They are very detailed and go into great detail the steps to measure the wear in an engine and how to rebuild with tight tolerances. Lots of info on how to balance parts and why. A great find for me as I am tolerance crazy when I rebuild engines. Gave me some new techniques and methods to try.

Plus lots of info on items and names that have been gone for a long time but you need to know to rebuild one of these properly. Nice section on knurling pistons and why.
