Here is an ok looking Wasp Hollywood with some weird features like the hood ornament off of a 53 and the pin striping and I am trying to figure out what that yellow thing is at the bottom of the front fender.

Sean,
The yellow thing is a small patch of flame. I noticed the hood ornament and the pin striping (yuck) too. The car has the "Hudson Lean" and lists to the right. Obviously in need of front springs. A nicely installed steering wheel cover is a good way of covering cracks. What do you think of the wheel knock-offs? I've never really noticed before, but is the upper part of the door panels like those on the convertibles and is the interior correct? A nice looking car that has obviously been maintained. IMO, the parts included should be listed.
HK,
"Son said to dad you're goin' to drive me to drinkin' if you don't stop drivin' that Hot Rod Hudson." A 4bbl and headers. Can you say Zoom, Zoom?

Parts of the interior are original and parts are new. The vinyl is Hudson the suede stuff is new. They have mixed and matched into do this.
Its not bad but I do not like striping for striping sake you have to be following the lines of the car and enhancing the curves not adding crap because you think that is rodding and for corn sake if you are going to piss around under the hood make sure you get the colours right it makes a huge difference on the look. This underhood tells me the guy new nothing about Hudsons.

So, were the top of the door panels on Wasps vinyl as opposed to the faux wood toned metal used on the Commodore and Hornet?
Hopefully, the pin striping and flames are self stick and can be removed without a lot of grief. The beauty of a step down is its clean, uncluttered design.
I was going to sound off about the engine, but I knew someone else would chime in on the red block, rusty (?) looking head, incorrect breather cap, etc. IMO, a correct engine compartment makes a difference in the look (which speaks volumes about the owner) and value.
Still, if the car is solid underneath, runs/drives wells and looks as decent as the picture portray it, the seller will do just fine.
