Looks like it needs a lot of work. Frame he shows has me worried. Would be under this one a while with a flashlight and an icepick. When the rockers are that far gone the frame rails maybe close behind.

No, that's pretty much how the rust was on that one we looked at locally, that ended up going for 13K on eBay the other month. I bet this one is all surface rust underneath, no issues, structurally, just needs the typical rockers and quarters, that all 54's seem to need. I bet it goes for 7-8K even the chrome looks fairly decent.

Ya, you'd be under the car, poking around with an ice pick until the rescue team extricated your lifeless body from beneath the hulk of collapsed iron. But then again, maybe not. If what you can see is concerning, what about that which cannot be seen?

IMHO, the body style of the 54's looked fresh. However, the carryover of the roundy (not Rondey) roof style looked weird. Again, IMHO, the roofline of the Hollywood looked better with the convert being, well, a convert.

I agree with HudsonKid on this one. Most '54s that I've had or come across have bad rocker panels. Even the last black sedan I had had bubbles in the rocker but the rest of the car was pristine. If the '54 has problems in the perimeter frame, the quarter panels end up with huge holes in them.

Still all in all, it would be a good starter project for somebody, the coupes are getting fewer and farther between.
