What is the correct valve lash adjustment for a 52 308 ?
Are the adjustments made cold or warm with the engine at an idle??

There are those who like to set the valves cold and those that like to do them hot. I prefer to do them hot. I run the engine for about 30 mins to let it heat up to normal operating temp. Wearing a nice pair of quality mechanics gloves I remove the side covers and adjust the valves hot with the engine off. You have about 30 mins before they cool.

Hot Clearance Intake 10 thou Exhaust 12 thou
Cold Clearance Intake 12 thou Exhaust 17 thou

Further note to properly adjust the valves you need to remove the passenger side inner fender. Then warm up the car shut it off. Jack it up on passenger side and put on jack stand, remove wheel and this will give you clear access to the side of the engine to remove the side covers and adjust the valves. Bit of a pain in the ass but well worth doing every 10-15k which really the amount we drive them is years in between doing.
