Is there any difference between the steering column on a 49 hudson commodore that's chrome and a 49 super 6 besides the obvious chrome, I would like to put a commodore steering wheel on my super 6 and chrome the tube. This is for a 3 speed on the column and factory turn signals, does the steering tube separate easily and is there any tricks to doing so.
Thanks
Mike

Yes it will fit. You are going to have to take the column apart. Which means removing the wheel, hub, shifter linkage and the turn signals and then removing the tube. Its a bit of work to do this but it does look nice with the chromed tube.
