Hi everybody!

Just want to introduce myself, I'm the new one.

My name is Tom, I'm 29 years old and i live in bavaria, Germany. I bought my first hudson about 5 years ago (48 Commodore 8, restauration project), which i gave to my girlfriends son last christmas. He's 17 years old and allready in school but he's very couraged in doing work on cars. So i gave it to him to do his first project and he is very proud of it.

My second one is a 52 Pacemaker which i bought about 3 years ago. At the moment the engine get's a complete overhaul and the clutch will be changed into a normal dry one. It is a very special car to me, because the first time i began to search for a hudson, i had a foto of a blue one and that's mine now. Fortunatly a few years later i get the opportunity to buy this car, the car from my first hudson-foto. We did a lot of nice trips with it, two times to switzerland and back (about 1200 kilometers distance) without bigger problems. But last summer i had more and more starting problems, a compression-test showed me why... So i decided to do a complete engine-overhaul.

I add some pictures, maybe somebody remembers, i posted it on the classiccar-hudsonforum some time ago, but the forum is not available since a few weeks. So i search around and found this hudson forum, there is a lot of good stuff in here, I'm happy that i found it.

Hey Tom,

welcome to the site. Nice Hudsons. Really like the colour of your 52 do you know the paint code for that one.

Thanks for the update. Keep posting about your Hudsons and the progress on rebuilding them. Always great to share info with our fellow Hudnuts.

Sean

Hello Sean!

Thanks! Unfortunately i don't know the paint code, i had a little problem with it 2 years ago as i drove a little bit to closed to the wall of my garage... Stars So i had do do a little paintjob on the richt back door, but i couldn't find the right colour, so i had to analyse it with a colour-finder-camera, fortunatly we have a specialist here who has one. After spending 200 Euros the procedure was complete and he mixed exactly the same tone for me...

I think it is an original paint, the sales-brochure for 1952 shows the pacemaker in nearly the same colour...

Greets
Tom

Thanks Mike! Just had a look on your very nice shaped wasp. I like these racing look, go on that way! Razz

Looks too wide to me. The Hudson visor is a lot more narrow.
