Today I just completed my collection of Hudson owners manuals. I now have owners manuals from 1930-1954. I do not collect the twenties stuff. Maybe I will if I see them for a good price.

Today's box of literature contained two manuals I was missing. A 1947 manual and a 1950 manual. The box of literature also contained loads of other stuff from the dealer. These manuals all came from the same owner he was a life long Hudson owner and had kept everything.

I even have the piece of paper the salesman wrote the quote for the 50 sedan. It also contains his business card everything is in pristine condition. I also got all the tags that came with a new car. A red tag that was on the radio knob with quick instructions. A tag for the lighter (dealer installed unit) tag for the motor oil. Wolfshead which also came with an insurance bond that covered the first 30,000 miles on your car if you used Wolfshead oil.

All of the usual Hudson goodies like quick guide card, radio guide, weathermaster guide. How to use the clock and a tag for the clock from Borg Warner. Transmission guide. A letter from Hudson thanking you for the purchase.

Have to say I love Hudson literature. I also have Packard and Buick Literature but Hudson went the extra mile. Very nice time capsule of one owners love of Hudsons. Thank goodness he kept absolutely everything. Now I am enjoying it all.
