I am going to embark on making an adapter to bolt a Hudson to a 700R4. I know several vendors already have them, but they way the economy is treating me, I can't find the extra 700 bucks (plate and starter). So, does anyone have the rear bolt pattern and crankshaft centerline measurements for a 308? I'm using the stock engine plate as a pattern, but determining the crankshaft centerline accurately is the main problem. I aquired a Chev engine blueprint, so I have the trans end already. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have access to an engine block?

If you have the rear engine plate it would be good to make a template based on the engine plate. Using the engine plate you make all the measurements based on this. You then transfer to master template to make your plate.

Let me look at what I have to make measurements. I have all the mic's and proper engineering measurement tools.

51,

No the only block I have has a crank in it and it's already back in the car. A bare block sans crankshaft would make meauring the centerline a lot easier. Let me know if you come up w/ anything.

Thanks,

Yes I have a bare block on a stand without the crank in. I will take a look at getting these measurements right.
