Does anyone have info or pics on the trunk mounted A/C unit that has reportedly been spotted on a few 54 Hudsons? I was wonder who the manufacturer would have been, GM's Frigidaire division or Nash's Kelvinator line.
With the temperature now hovering at a balmy 8 degrees here, thoughts are turning to A/C.

I figured that if anyone had the info, you would. Thank you, Oracle of Hudson knowledge.

Better get on the stick, it's a balmy 24 degrees here and thoughts are turning to A/C. But in reality, I just need to such up some more good old fashioned Hudson technology.

Thanks, but I was hoping to get something from the stepdown era.

Thanks for the smokie links, I've seen their stuff before. Anyway, I was interested and blower set up. Do you know anything about the system that would have been used on 54 Hudsons? Since there weren't many players in the auto A/C biz back then, I assume the old trunk mount unit and compressor would have been made by GM's Frigidaire division. I have a few pics of such an original unit installed in a 50's era Packard. It's really "cool" stuff

| A step down needs a swamp cooler, not an A/C setup!

Just something else to catch wind. The swap coolers only really work well where it is hot and dry as a bone.
