Did Hudson use Auto-Lite or Packard spark lpug wires on step-down era cars?

Service Merchandisers advertise Autolite kits so I am assuming its Autolite, even though Sherlock Holmes said assume nothing....

seems on all of the well restored cars I see have that packard wire on them. what was it packard 440? or something? Mine is running single wires for autozone, I bought 6 single wires in the proper length, and with proper boots on each one, lifetime warranty. It seemed to cure a lot of the ignition problems I was having.

now it's time for pertronix....

Thanks for that useful bit-o-info. Based upon the extensive use of their products on Hudsons, I would assume Auto-Lite too.

Also, I got to think that some of those cars I speak of, might have put the packard cable on it for the "dress-up" appeal.

The copper core Packard 440 wires were used extensively on GM cars. Even though it's no longer being manufactured (or so I'm told), this stuff is more readily available (and usually newer) than old Auto-Lite wire. Can be found at old parts stores and on ebay.

Friend of mine gave me a nice Packard cable rack that was used to advertise and display Packard battery cables have it on the wall in my garage using to hold my light bulb packages. If I may be so bold as to segway this topic sideways.
