Always truth in some of what is said on both sides. But 7K for an engine is not much anymore. I know I bought parts. It costs 2.5K for parts to rebuild maybe 2K more for machining and your labor you are at 7K easy.

Sad to say, but if the economy keeps sinking, anyone would be lucky to get half that for an engine rebuild.

Parts are not going to get any cheaper so I think people will be holding off doing the work for a while.

In order to move inventory, I think some retailers would rather make somey as opposed to none. Lots of bargains on non essentials to be had out there.

The key is... you have to have the money. Doesn't matter what the economy says.

well... the 49 is still here....trying to find the time... working 12H shifts just about done building the barn for the horses (wifes critters)... then MAYBE start working on the Hudson garage (I hope)
