Looks a little rough. For maybe 1K a good project.

The seller claims that the engine was rebuilt to original specs. If true, that would add some value.

Looks like a lot of rot in that car. That would give me pause...

I'll be the first to agree, but I've seen cars in much worse shape return from the dead. Shoot him an offer he can't refuse.

Lots of nice projects there. How butchered up is the 47 driveline and frame. I know you got some Ford power under there but is the tranny and rear still Hudson or something else. I want more pics of that. (Need under hood shots so I can assess the butchery) I am thinking maybe with one of my 308's under the hood that could be a nice sleeper.
Also remember do not sell anything until you talk to me first I still may need more parts for my many projects LOL

You are the reason there were no 54 Hornets in the ad!
Not much butchery done. A late 50's Ford passenger car crossmember/motor mount is bolted between the Hudson frame rails. Remove 8 bolts and you can bolt your splasher back in. Problem with the crossmember is that it interferes with the Hudson drag link. So builder installed a Ford passenger car steering box, idler arm and tie rods to get around that. Geometry all wrong. Some cutting on the frame for the box. Repairable. Steers very hard. Solution is to put smaller, separate mounts on top of the frame, which I have made, but not installed. Then go back to Hudson center-point steering. The clutch is hydraulic from a late 50's Ford pickup. 2 master cylinders on the firewall. Suspended pedals. Funky early Ford power brake bellows mounted on the inside of the firewall. Trans is a ford 3 speed stick, but any ford T-10 or Toploader will bolt in. Rear looks to be 1949 to 1954 Ford passenger car, bolted to the stock Hudson springs. It's looks too weak for the job. If all of that scares you off, I have a stock Commodore 6 coupe as well.

Is that a stock Commodore 6 coupe. Yes that does scare me. I hate when they butcher stuff and for what to put that junk under the hood. Gimme a break...

| Well, this was all done before you were born and and neither the Hudson nor the Y block was worth the price of the beer that was drunk while they were doing it.

How do you know it was beer? I think it was moonshine and the lead mechanics name was skeeter.....
