I have created this new forum so we could discuss Hudson the living breathing company. I moved our discussion on Hudsons missteps to this forum as well. So lets work to build in here a history of what we know about Hudson and how the company created the cars. The design techniques and the good the bad and in between.

I plan on doing a history of each model year and we can discuss what worked or didn't work and what design influences we can see.

Shall we start from the begining to end or back track from the ( Crying or Very sad ) end?

I think we can start at the beginning and work through the early stages of the company. I have a lot of docs from the 20's so that might be a good place to start. Also will group the new owner items and take a picture of them and post them by year so people can see what came with a Hudson fresh off the lot. Pretty interesting stuff depending on the year.

Hi all. Been a while since my last login. Now that we're discussing Hudson, the living, breathing company, I have one question... who has the company records/archive?!? I want to know more about the Super 8 and can find little if anything on it specifically.

The HET club has a librarian who may be able to help you with your quest.

The actual Hudson records/archive is owned by Chrysler and some of it is housed in the Detroit library. A lot of the company records were lost during the merger with Nash as AMC simply tossed them in the dumpster when they had the building knocked down.

So if you are a member of the HET club you can send an email to the club librarian and see what he comes up with. Send me a pm and I will send you his email addy.
