Looks like some good work was done on this car. Price is too high for the market right now considering there is a lot left to do. 2 months ago a similiar car was on eBay with the same bin. That car had been totally redone. New interior, new paint and new chrome with the engine bay detailed nicely.
I think it will take a while for sellers to realize that cars that are not finished will not sell at this price now. Maybe need to hold on to them or lower price. Too many competing examples that are fully done.

Even though a nicely restored sedan can easily command the asking price and more, there is way too much work left to do on this one to justify the price. The lack of info on the condition of the mechanicals is concerning. The engine bay will need complete resto while the engine and trans are out for rebuilding.

I agreee he'd probably do much better if he could make it as clean and complete as possible.

Reduced the BIN to $9500 I think that is a pretty good deal now. Easy to finish this car off for 5K make a nice car after that.

I think that $9,500.00 is still too high.

Nah I think thats a reasonable price Commodore 8's are rarer cars. All the body work is done. Interior looks ok, new tires. Finishing this would not take much.
Would really like to try one those eights. Rebuilding the engine would be fun.

What interior? From the look of what's there, the chrome looks really pitted and tired. At the BIN plus rebuilding costs, you'd be at the top of the market. Better to buy one already done.

This is now back for BIN of 7K which is really good in my book. I contacted the seller he says the engine runs fine but could do with a rebuild down the line. It has a three on the tree now and he is including a complete OD tranny as well. The interior has been redone and waiting to be put in. Pretty good project for the price.

Now that does sound like a better deal. It's hard to find a decent car, paint it and have upholstery done for this kind of money.

Agreed this is a good deal. If you can buy a car paint it and redo the interior for 7K buy it. 5K will have this looking sharp and that includes replacing the dash chrome and bumpers.

Lots of car for a reasonable price. For under $15k, you'd be on the road in a tidy Hudson.

Wow now only 6K he must need to sell it. If this car was close to me I would buy it now.
