I want to see someone cram one of these babies in a Hudson car. Of course, it should be rebuilt first.

Look at the size of those things! You may have to drive your Jet from a trailer you're towing behind it. Oh, and don't forget to beef up the suspension a tad. Man, the pistons must be the size of 5 gallon buckets. Aside from putting one in your Jet, who would use these and for what?

Only thing I can think of is a stationary display. Or a large antique boat. This would make a nice powerplant.

Do you have any large lakes nearby where you and the family could dock a PT boat? How would you like to try rebuilding one of these? Seriously, these look like well engineered and carefully built machinery.

Only way you could rebuild is make the parts or get NOS ones if they are around.

Sad to say, but I think the seller will be stuck with these.

Yup thats a lot of money for engines you cannot use. But maybe someone has a cruiser boat they want to put one of these in.

If I had a boat that needed some umph, I'd throw a 1970 Cadillac 500 cid or Lincoln 460 cid in it. Can't argue with less weight, 400/365 hp and easy parts availability. Years ago, I went to buy some Cadillac parts from a guy in a nearby suburb. He had been a mechanic and had loads of parts and two ancient Chrysler Hemi marine engines, each in the original crate. Those were really cool engines for a boat. Sad thing is that he had Hudson parts too, but I wasn't into Hudsons at that time. Now, he's MIA.
