Back in the day, even an ample man could look svelt in those suits. And speaking of svelt, would you look at the shiney, new 1953 Hudson Hornet. I found this photo in a blog a woman started about family history. In it, she talks about DVD players in cars and her son watching the movie CARS while they were on their way to visit relatives. Well, since the relatives knew of the little boy's love of the movie, they found, enlarged and framed the picture you see here. It's of the boy's grandfather posing with a new 1953 Hudson in his dealership.

Man that paint looks shiny. Fit and finish of that car is top notch.

You said it. And those who say that Hudson quality wasn't top notch can go suck a lemon.

That makes me laugh when you hear that crap. I have tons of dealer and factory pics and those cars look pretty good to me.

I've seen several original stepdowns that look to have been very carefully assembled and the paint finishes still look like glass.

I haven't a clue. I was too busy looking at the blond and the Hudson. Although it says somewhere in the midwest, I haven't noticed our local landscape changing to a desert motif.

Barney and Rex were driving in style back in the day. In the next photo, talk about needing to turn back the hands of time...

Kansas effort to disquise the Hudson by using different hubcaps didn't work. What will he do now?

Kansas was a retired rodeo rider he was hired as muscle and he did the job well. He was loyal and hard working and would take a bullet for the boys in T-Division. He never really understood all that science stuff he just knew it was important and that was good enough for him. Anyway Clive and Barney were swell guys who never gave him a hard time about his lack of book learning...
