Just a update on my project. I have been spending countless hours evey weekend.
Installing hand fitted carpet in the trunk cw lighted side panels removed old wheel well and turned into toolbox. built new tire mount and storage for lightweight aluminum jack, built accessory for jack to lift on frame no bumper jacks for me. Modified tailight housings to accept 2 bulbs driving lights, signal and brake.
Just starting to buff and install all stainless trim now that stuff is time consuming.
Things left to do
Install seat belts, build glove box, waiting for new tail light lenses so I can install rear chrome, fender wells, hook up cruise control,Exhaust extensions, Carpet foot rest, Door sills and weatherstrip, Chrome bumpers
refinish license plate.
Look for another one.

Hey Ray,
great to get an update. I can't wait to see that car at the meet this year...hint, hint.
What are you using for seatbelts? are you going to use lap and shoulder or just lap?

Busy Boy is an understatement! But then again, what's a Hudson guy going to do during winter anyway. Is the gold color a Hudson shade? Back in the 50's they made a movie called The Solid Gold Cadillac." Maybe there should be a remake using your car. We'll call it "The Solid Gold Hudson."

| The gold color is not a shade of Hudson color it is heavy in metallic and a bit of a bear to paint especially without a spray boothe! Gotta build one of them I think. Seat belts are from ebay Shoulder belts for front and lap for rear. Anyone out there got a decent trunk handle for the 53 Hornet complete with lock cover and door locks don't care if have keys?

Well, the paint looks go so far. Good luck finding a trunk handle with a lock cover. It seems like mine is the only one existance, at least here. I have a spare, but it is missing the lock cover and it needs to be replated.

| I'd like to seat how the seatbelts go in. I'm going to have to tackle that soon also. What were the lapbelts from?

| Seat belts are new and generic no particular model. Similar to those sold at JC whitney.com I will post some pics when I get to that job.
