I am new to this site. I am a fairly new Hudson owner, but not new to Hudsons. I finally convinced my dad to part with his 1950 Pacemaker sedan that his dad bought new. I am a third generation HET member who owns a third generation "family" car. Pretty cool...
The car is a very decent orignal. It was repainted in 1988, and needs a repaint again. It needs a lot of TLC, but is very solid with good chrome. I plan to keep it pretty much stock, maybe add twin H and some Clifford Headers.
Happy Hudsoning,
Matt

Hey Matt,
welcome to our Hudson neck of the woods. You should post a pic of your car in the gallery.
I have a Twin H setup and I just got my Clifford headers for my 51 Hornet.
One thing we have in common is we all love to drive these cars. Once you have driven one you are hooked.
Take look around the site and make any suggestions you think will make it better. Look in the downloads we have some good docs in there and when I get time I will add more.
Sean

| It's about time that there are some more new members here! Glad to see some more traffic... I like the way this site is structured, and that is dedicated to just Hudsons.

Cool history of your family and Hudsons. Since your car has been a family member for so long, do you have any pictures of it when it was new?

Hey Matt I ripped off one of your pics and posted it in the gallery. Your Dad in front of the Hudson. I really like to see stuff like this and your long history with Hudsons is a big plus.
And yes its Hudson only all day and night and we aren't trying to drive ad revenue. Just talk up the fact we are the best looking bunch of Hud lovers on the planet.

Dave,
The pic mentioned above is the oldest picture of my car. On the back was written 1951. Must have been in the warmer months, so that makes it about 1 year old at the time.
I also have the original "New Car Order". My grandpa bought the car for $2147.00 and put only $50 down.
I need to scan all of this stuff and eventually will put in on a website.

faustmb,
I don't care what anyone say, even old pictures show that they look different that even the most well restored car.
The amount your grandpa paid for that the base Hudson was $300.00 more than my father paid for a new top of the line Plymouth!
We would like to see pics of what you've got.

I have made a feeble attempt at a website. I'll try to get it going again this week. I need to cough up some $ for a better server.
I'll post a link once it's up again.
