Hello to all busy winter. rebuilt engine and also Dana 44 rear end. While I was at it I decided to see if rear disc brakes could be added. Sean has pics of rebuild.
I installed the rear with some difficulty the calipers required removal to bleed. As an air pocket gets trapped in upper corner. Next time I would rotate calipers a little further back so that the axle does not have to be separated from the leaf spring to get at caliper upper mounting bolt. Simple brackets mounted original parking brake cables. Fired up new 360 engine broke in at 2000 rpm for 30 mins. Found I had a lifter noise on number one.
Pulled valve cover and valve trian then used magnetic tool to extract lifter through push rod hole. Found lifter totally stuckk would not accept oil at all replaced with another hew one noise all gone.
Front and rear discs work awesome. What you guys been building??
Have a good one

Yup that looks like a bit of damage. Depends on how much you want to spend and if you are doing yourself you can measure up the front end and make a front end. But I always see either one or the other of these.

The Mustang II front stub kit from Fatman will work. A Camaro front end from the 70's -80's will also work.
