About 3 months ago I bought what was advertized as a 51 hornet in Toronto. When my son and I got it back to Rhode Island and started to look it over carefully, we realized that it was't a Hornet even though it had Hornet emblems. Anyway, what we have is a 51 Pacemaker with the beginning number 11A which isn't listed in any of the US books that I have. So this Hudson was made in Canada (I hadn't realized any Hudsons were made in Canada). Does anyone have any info about the numbering system used on Canadian Hudson? The engine and the body serial numbers match.

I am in the process of trying to find that kind of thing myself. I have just gotten a lot of old literature from the Tibury factory where the Hudsons were made. I will go through it now with the notion to find the info you are looking for.
Hudsons were made in Canada from the early thirties through to 54. I was told that the models like the Jet and Pacemaker were made in Canada. This is kind of interesting. Can you upload somes pictures to the gallery and if possible include the vehicle plate.
I wonder why they stuck the Hornet emblems on. Did this car have a swan like hood ornament by any chance?
