I made what I thought was a funny post in the Hudson -> Discussion forums. It was labled "baiting" a member.
I have asked my account be closed and all posts be removed.
There was a lot of good information there. I hope I can find it here.

They are only apprentice baiters over there, we are master baiters!
Welcome and have fun, there is a vast amount of knowledge here, and a bit of grab-assing around too.

A heartfelt welcome to our side of the Hudson world. We're glad you're here. So nice of you to bait and switch.
We don't get caught up in BS or trash talking here, just good old fashion fun and, when you need it, helpful advice from other car guys around the world. We've got them all here, from mild to wild. Again, like Zephyrmec said, welcome and have fun.

Yes I was over there and that place has gone to hell in a hand basket. Over here we talk Hudsons, any other car you can think of and laugh and have a good time. You won't see any of that crap here as I 100% will not allow it. if someone wants to get lippy I am happy to apply my boot to their posterior.
So have a good time over here.

I've never seen an occasion here where it was necessary to even consider lifting the boot off the floor. Now that says something.

I joined here a while ago so I know this is a good place.
I am just dumbfounded that my joke about the Brooklyn Dodgers playing a series of games verses HudsonKid was considered "baiting a member" when all the other garbage was allowed.

Our hobby, like any other, is supposed to be fun. When comments made by a user on a hobby related forum are ignored or treated as an assault by others, things cease to be fun. But, face it, some people are idiots, some are A-holes with others being just plain rude. In my opinion, counter productive behavior should not be allowed. Case in point is a TV show I saw recently. A man and his wife owned a restaurant which they both operated. Their constant bickering in public made customers uncomfortable. So ,much so, that the business almost failed. After all, who wants to go out (or on the Net) looking for a good time, only to be ignored or berated. Places, be they a restaurant or Web site, that make people comfortable flurish and those that do not are doomed to fail. A case of reaping what your sow.

Dave's right you are not going to see that here as we do not allow it. Zero tolerance, if you post crap I delete right away. I do not have to leave posts to drive traffic for advertisers. The admin running CCF is a good guy but he has his hands full. When you mod a board that deals with Hudsons you want to see posts about Hudsons. If you have a couple of members who are continually posting crap you delete them immediately end of story.
I had a good comment which I believe is 100% right on target any board on the Internet can talk about rodding a car. You do not need to be on a Hudson board. There are hundreds of boards that deal with that. When you come to a Hudson site you expect to be able to discuss Hudsons not Hudsons that are being rodded. Certain individuals want to push their preference and if 99% of the board is not interested and they persist you delete them.
You will notice we have lots of members on this site who rod their vehicles and we are happy to discuss this and we are genuinely interested in what they are doing we have zero disputes and everyone gets along. And I think the bottom line is this was my site but now its shared with the likes of Dave, Moe, Warren, Jim, Roland, Bumper and many others and we don't want that crap over here.
So to end that long winded diatribe enjoy yourself and join in happy to have you on board.

I belong to several other boards too, but this one is totally different, even with the occasional ball busting, it is always done with a smile and absolutely no ill feelings. I guess it's the old "we are all adults here" We respect one another and each others opoinions. We all understand that everybody's tastes in cars, etc. are different. The common thread here is the appreciation of Hudson Motorcars, be they early pre war leviathans, funny looking shoebox Jets, and everything in between. "Hash" Hudsons are ridiculed and vomited upon frequently, (in a kind way of course) but, bottom line, everyone is welcome.
Hell, I don't even own a Hudson right now, but I'm watching for the right one. Sean tolerates me adding my two cents, although it usually is on the general aspects of antique cars, I'm learning Hudsons. Any questions on Early Lincolns, especially the V12s, I'm fairly experienced. When it comes to Hudsons specifically, Sean and Dave will have an answer usually within hours. Some of the difference seems to be that we are looking at 55+ year old technology, orphan cars. The guys that want to cause trouble, biotch, and seriously insult other members aren't the kind of guys that are drawn to the cars of our focus. Thankfully they hang out elsewhere. When it comes to off topic- general interest threads, it is amazing the layers of experience on a multitude of subjects you will find here, without the ego trips. If you are looking for that hard to find part or whatever, check here, you would be surprised at what some of us have stashed away or can scrounge up with a little time. Again, have fun!
Did anybody tell you that with your 10th post you have to send the host either $50 or equal value in your own local specialty items? Johnstown PA.... maybe a hind quarter of venison, a couple hundred board feet of #1 Ash or a log of Lebanon Bologna would be acceptable. I'd think a case of Yeungling Black and Tan would be the absolute minimum

What more can I add but to say you're right. This place is different because we can have a serious discussion or be totally goofy. We check the attitudes at the door and have fun.
Yes, when push comes to shove, you can count on Sean to always help. With his background as the son of a mechanic, Hudson fanatic and Computer dude, he's ready, willing and able to help on so many levels. It's a nice, personal touch that can't be duplicated on other sites. But, let's not forget that we all add things to the mix. Moe has a good knowledge of vintage cars and cycles as well as body and paint work. Myself, I'd rather do the more simple tasks and leave the rest to guys who have the interest, knowledge and tools that I lack.
Icsnay on the last paragraph Moeington.
