Looks to be a good restorable car I doubt it will sell though.

As "rusty but trusty" as it may be, in won't sell. One picture?

Nobody seems to be buying these older Hudsons on eBay. Kind of a crap shoot I have seen cars in way better shape than this selling for that BIN.
That being said its a nice unmolested car that seems to have everything. Nice for resto but at 20K + to resto and the fact the market is soft for these cars who will bother.

Based on what you've said, I hope it can stay in that garage for an extended period of time.

Up here I have seen cars like this go for $500 - $1500 no more and they still have trouble selling. I know a guy with some 38's, 39's and 40"s and he cannot sell them. They are in this condition its a lot of work to bring one of this back from this shape. These guys list them as if its a trivial weekends work to have a show car.

If cars like this will run and drive, I say break out the paint spray cans and seat covers and go for a ride.

| A quart of Ospho, Y2K primer and a gallon of single stage urethane could make it presentable over a long weekend. Yep, squirt it, and break out the wally world seatcovers. It would be a great everyday car, a little different and far cooler than a run of the mill second hand car. Honestly, about a $1,000 car, tops. If I see the word rare one more time on an e-bay ad, I'm going to puke.

I agree. For a few thousand bucks, you could have a fun, vintage beater.
I'll get the puke bucket ready.

<--- Projectile vomiting!
"Rare! 1965 Mustang tail light lens!" "Rare! intake manifold for Chevy smallblock" "NOS Champion J8 Sparkplug RARE!"
"Model T cowl lamp, black, Name embossed on top... Rare!" Sure, old Henry made 18 freaking million model Ts, every stinkin one of them had a pair of those cowl lamps, plus the millions of replacements, electric conversions, and aftermarket acessory lamps.... old? yes, rare?.....
<--- another bucket please!

I think we need to lobby eBay and get them to ban the use of the word.
And it was said, thy buckets runneth over. Praise be to Moe.

I love it when someone runs a brochure and says rare. They printed and distributed about 100,000 of each and its rare. Hasn't been a "rare" item on eBay that hasn't had other copies on many times over. Then you have the guys who profess to know nothing of the parts they are selling but they list them as rare.

It's like some sellers think that people bidding on their items don't know anything about them. That's a silly assumption. In their minds, they must think that the use of the word 'rare' will prompt bidding.

I'd certainly rather have a rare part than a correct common part.

I like the auctions for brand specific NOS parts that are really just generic aftermarket NORS.
Now where's that bucket?
