If it's a 49 Super Eight Brougham, it's a fairly rare model. However, questions surround this auction that make me suspicious. Given enough time, we eventually find out what the deal was. After all, Hudsonia is a small land and word gets around.

Mystery solved the seller found the original title the car was registered as a 49 Super Six he has listed the correct vin its 491 which is correct for a 49 Super Six Brougham. He has also listed the engine serial number its 484 so someone put a eight out a 48 in there. As you know a lot of states registered the car by engine serial number not body vin.
He posted this so that clears this up and the $9600 is about top dollar for a car like this in this shape.

Don't be modest. The treat of you sending out the CSI (Canadian Syrup Institute) team probably kicked him in the pants.
