Hello:

I purchased a 1947 Hudson Super Six 4 dr sedan approximately a year and a half ago. I was out for a walk in the area which my father moved to and came across this vehicle sitting along the edge of a field. Having looked at several other vehicles in need of work, I went and got my wife for approval. She loved the car and as I result I located the owner and purchased it from him. It was my intention to rebuild this car and have it finished before the gentleman I purchased it from passed away, but unfortunately that did not happen. It is in need of quite a bit of work, but I do not think it is impossible, in fact I have had the opportunity to sell it at least three times since. In New Brunswick a vehicle requires an inspection every year, and this car still has the last inspection sticker on it from 1976. From the information that I could gather about the car, it was used as a police car in the town of Hartland, New Brunswick. In fact, when you look at the passenger side door, it is shaded different where it would appear that the emblem used to be.

I have contacted Sean and sent him some pictures and he so graciously put one of them on the sight under the Super Six section. I was sincerely impressed to find this sight as I have not been able to locate many other Hudson owners here in New Brunswick. Any help or advice that could be offered with my "project" would be sincerely appreciated. I am tossed with trying to restore it to as original as possible and completely redoing it all together.

Thank You

Great to see you on the site and Happy New Year. I will mail you the numbers of a couple of parts suppliers I trust and send you Johns number he may have the tail lights you need.

I will post some more pics you sent so people can see more of the car.
