Here is a complete but rough 53 Jet. I would pay maybe $800 for this car.

| Not a bad looking little buggy. Somebody will fall in love with it and restore it, hopefully. It's amazing if it really is that low on the mileage. It had to have been parked for a long time or turned over.

Too bad the original Twin-H set-up is missing. Although it is possible that this car could have clocked over 100k, it was probably just stored poorly. In addition to the tall green house, the stubby rear fender makes this design look dumpy. If any car needs skirts, it's the Jet. I believe what teh seller says about the bear attacking the rear window. If I were to leave a vehicle idle here for any period of time, a host of critters would take up residence.

| As much as I hate people doing it, I wonder how one would look with about 6" chopped out of that towering roof? Any good with photoshop? Drop the roofline, add skirts and check it out. (baby moons and beauty rings)

I hate to see well designed cars get hacked, but I agree that a radical chop on that towering (LOL) roof is needed. Start at the windshield header and rake it down to the trunk, just like a grown-up Hudson model. Adding some side trim, skirts, rings/caps and wide WWLS would finish the look off nicely. I've got to hone my photshop skills so I can redesign these baby Hudsons.

| Much better! maybe without the widey-whiteys. The lowered roofline gives it MUCH better proportion. Good job Hollywood! I'm going to have to break down and buy a copy of Photoshop.

If that car had rolled the way Frank Spring had designed it we would be saying remember the Jet it won awards as the best styled small car in the 50's. I plan on buying a Jet and chopping and sectioning it until it looks more like Springs design.
The way it rolled while Spring was in Europe and that moron Barit making design changes is a travesty.
Even with Hollywoods photo chop it looks way better.

Hey Hollywood, Now that looks much better. It's amazing what a few well chosen changes can do for this design. I like the wide wwls. Barit and his "The roof has to be tall so a man can drive while wearing a hat" was just idiotic. If he was so bent on his idea, they should have kept the roof low and included a flat driving cap as standard equipment.

The belt line is too tall as well 2-3 sectioned out and that car would look low lean and mean and also drop the suspension 2 inches. Everything was wrong on that car.

Hollywood's effort is a great improvement. However, if someone would buy one of these and do it up right, prices and popularity might increase if people can see what can be done. Of course, the mods must be easily done and cost effective. Guess you have your work cut out for you Sean.

that is with 2-3" out of the body, 2-3 out of the greenhouse and the roof itself shortened

Yes I was talking about the original car. In the Spring sketches the rear quarter panels curve downwards as do the front fenders.

Already have the equipment just need the car and the time. But it does look good in Hollywoods pic there so you can see the potential to make that a really nice car.
Hollywood can you put a deck on the house and more landscaping
