Here's a seller that knows how to show off the car's skirts. Shots with and without them. Pics of the car with them on obviously make it look much better. Suicide doors, flying turd hood ornament...cool car...ugly steering wheel. Did Hudson offer a Banjo wheel option?

Yes I love the look of this coupe the skirts are nice so you can't complain about that. Did I tell you the story of how I cleaned the dash on this car?

Yes they had a banjo steering wheel. This car has been painted and the engine should be silver.

Didn't you use hydrochloric acid, goat urine, a jack hammer and a Swiffer on the dash?
Well then, this car needs a Banjo wheel so V-12 Moe and I can strum it while we drive through them thar backwoods of Canada. The engine should be a silver one? You mean dull as a door knob silver?

This is a nice car to drive. We can go cruising in Canada with Moe's new Zephyr convertible. Be a nice time.

Have you ever driven one of these? How do they handle? Needs a new steering wheel and how about a light sanding on the rusty shifter.

They drive pretty nice for a car that age. I would have to say it making a trip of more than 200 miles I would limit my amount of drive time and take my time getting there. You need to drive these cars unlike the new cars that a light touch on the wheel and you are good to go. These cars require driving, the steering is very active on these its before the front independent.
Still they drive pretty nice I like driving the 36 and 37 I got to try. I can see why they were a hit in their day they are pretty peppy.
This car has been worked on the paint is new the interior is new the carpet is worn and like you say some stuff is not right like rust in places. The skirts are missing the Terraplane logos, so are probably repro's.

Given the mechanical limitations of the time, I bet they drove like an old truck.
Even with its flaws, this looks like an easy car to finish.

Well maybe a luxury old truck. They drive pretty nicely the steering is nice and responsive and they have get up and go and they handle nicely once on the road to enjoy the journey better you need to add OD.

When I buy it might be down there so as I am coming back up I will drop in for a rest and let you drive it yourself.

Oh, my, that could be dangerous. The last stick Hudson I drove was a 49 a few years ago. I might be a little rusty but, after all, those gears are pretty sturdy...right? A guy in our local has a Terrorplane coupe with Electric Hand. Not sure of the year, but it has the flying turd hood ornament. The cars with the Electric Hand are a hoot.

Well its non synchro but its a floor shift and you get used to the quick throw to get it through the gears. Like all things takes a little practice.

my hudson is stick, and I personally feel, with 4:10's the other trans was sloppy (loose, worn gears, etc....) it went into gear easily, you could shift it with ease without the clutch. I think the OD I put in, and took out, and will be putting back in, again, will be a different story. I think it is a lot tighter....
I like the 36 and 37's and 38's. I would often think of street rodding a lot of these coupes, but when they're this nice, they need to stay original. Thcoupes of this period have agreat look, bar none.

No synchro in 1936! A little behind the times I'd say. No matter, just mash those gears.
