Came across an item that stated that in the teens and twenties Hudson had its cylinder blocks manufactured at the Holmes Foundry in Port Huron. Seems most of the Detroit car companies did. I don't know if they continued to make the Hudson engine blocks or if that was pulled into the company in the thirties.

More research is needed. But nice little tidbit to start.

I assumed that Hudson always had that same foundry doing their engines. What, if any, engine parts did they manufacture? I ask because, unlike today, manufacturers back then produced lots more in house. An example of which would be Hudson's upholstery shop. Today, most manufacturers out
source for upholstery.

Thats what I am working on right now as I know in late 20's early 30's Hudson pulled a lot of stuff in house and I was almost certain they made their own engine blocks. I know they had their own foundry as I have pics of them pulling down the smoke stack from it.

Will investigate more. As I learn a trinket I will post it here.
