I don't know weather to laugh or cry at this ad. The seller is asking for the top end price for a #2 car (25k BIN) and he has a #4 at best. This car is a mess. Where to begin, the interior is worn there is overspray on the inside of the radiator. The body has a botched repair job and poor paint and the seller is listing it like its the last 47 on the planet. He should have looked at the bronze 47 that was on a couple of months ago for 12K and it was in perfect condition unlike this barge.

See what I mean about the tu-tone blue makes this car look like a whale. Oh my the ad still makes me laugh even after reading it 3 times. Now I understand this is a seller who knows zero about Hudsons but a quick look at the online blue books would tell you this is way, way, way overpriced.

I like the:

Crappy paint and Bondo
Radiator
Wire wrapped around hood hinge
Tape on back seat bottom cusion
Stained headliner
Sprung hood
Mounds of tape on coil wires

Face it, this car was not Hudsons finest design. Still, it was a Hudson. And since it's old, it's worth a fortune...right?

I can only figure this ad if I believe the seller is clueless as to the value of a Hudson of this year and model. Other than that I would have to laugh and laugh and laugh.....

The green house is too high. Just plain unsightly IMO. I hope the seller isn't relying on the sale of this car to fund the propane tank refilled.

That paint job does not help. Saw a car like this in dark green and it looked really good with yellow wheels. Very nice. colour makes or breaks this and this colour combo breaks it....

Don't forget the lack of skirts... If any car needed skirts to help it look lower this one does.

Dropped the BIN to 20k now if he drops it another 13K he should be in the ballpark of what this car is worth.

Even if the price is reduced to 7k, only someone who loves this car and must have it will buy it.

I wouldn't give him $3k, delivered. If there is layered bondo where you can see it, it's rotted out underneath. The body appears to be sinking at the windshield/cowl area. (along with the sprung hood) It could be parallax from the camera lens, but I don't think so.

I'll say this, it took some guts for the seller to photograph the Bondo so well.

I think he just hasn't closed the hood and latched it. But yes this car is a mess and he doesn't seem to know it. He will after zero bids. Like I say above some months ago a guy was selling a bronze 47 that was perfect a #3 or low #2 and he had it on for 11K and could not sell it and the paint and interior was perfect the engine ran nicely and it had OD. This is a mess for 20K its a pipe dream and to boot its not an overly sought after model.

I think the hood is sprung and won't close...so there! Razz If someone doesn't want to bother to find out what a car they're selling may be worth, they should just list it and see what sort of bids it brings. You can always set a reserve or kill the auction at the last minute so you don't give the car away.

I just think its someone who knows zero about Hudsons so to them its a rare bird a gem in the making. You have to know your market to sell your car and this is not going to sell and Zeph maybe right 3K is all this will go for.

Come to think of it, 3k would be generous.
