Dude my disc brake mod is done with Wilwood components and new hubs from pridemore the master cylinder is a two stage with remote filler to each reservoir. Its a thing of beauty and the residual valves can be tuned for balance.
This setup is not going in my 51 but it will be going in the 54 with the street 7X you need a tad more stopping power in todays traffic for that type of power and the power steering uses most of the Hudson steering components just a new steering box (in original location) and a new pump with the original 54 Hudson filler on it. All super sweet and no cobbling in sight....

Well, if you didn't drive like a madman and tailgate people, you wouldn't need that kind of stopping power, now would you? I though about that today while I was speeding home and tailgating the guy in front of me.
Mods are OK, as long as they are sympathetic to the original design. With the bus sized stock steering and dealer installed power steering, my car is so easy to drive. When she came off the transport last year, I almost drove off the road (that PS is snappy) and went through the windshield when I hit the brakes. Man, that car can stop. What a comedy when I put it in drive and hit the gas, that car can spin the tires if you breath on the accelerator. You've gotta love Hudsons for being big, unassuming sports cars.

Dave,
my stuff is so sympathetic to the original design I even have Hudson cast into the parts. Frank and I worked it out that the stuff I am doing is what he would have done if Hudson had lasted the 50's.

When are you going to start sand casting all those Hudson parts you've been talking about? Can't wait to see new aluminum heads, exhaust manifolds and the like.

Proper aluminum twin carb manifold is first on my list.
