Greetings all! I'm a noob to this board, and somewhat to Hudsons. I've been into old cars for over 40 years, and have had varying interests, from sportscars, to muscle cars, roundy-round racing, and antique cars, especially rare ones and orphans. I currently own, drive and show a 36 Lincoln Zephyr 4 door sedan (pics in gallery) It's a fantastic car and there are fewer than 30 of them in the LZOC registry. It's the first year for Zephyrs, different from all the rest, and very driveable (for a 36). I've decided to unload some of my motorcycle stuff, and start another project. I've decided that the ideal car for practical driving, and my tastes will be a 48-49 Commodore club coupe. Top of the line, all the convenience items, yet simple, powerful and well engineered. Another bonus, it's not a super desireable model like a Hornet or a ragtop, so I shouldn't be competing with the big money guys for a good one. I don't think I'll be as fussy as I've been with my Lincoln, I want to use this as a semi-regular driver. I have the necessary skills and connections to others with more experience to do most of the work myself so I hope not to get too deep in the money so as to worry about driving it 6-8K miles a year. I don't plan on modifying, except maybe radial tires and maybe tasteful add-on air conditioning. (south florida doesn't give you much choice) This looks like a pretty good forum and will provide good information as well as a lot of entertainment as I go along. Why a Canadian Forum? why not? I grew up in upstate NY, less than an hour from the border with the "Great White North" pretty close eh?

Hey thanks for the post. Good to get an idea of what you are looking for. We have gone beyond being a Canadian board and now are like the Hudson of old with factories in many countries. Just think of me as the Canadian factory and you guys are the US Detroit factory.

Yes we like to have fun on this site and we keep the BS to a minimum. Keep your eye on the for sale section as we are always scouring the Internet and local sales looking for cars and we like to share the info to help you get that coupe you want.

Also when you get your car remember to check out our links section it contains just about all the Hudson links there are or I have been able to find.

Again, great to have you on board and that Lincoln is pretty darn cool.

Although your Lincoln is a beautiful car, there's nothing like a Hudson.

Although you can troll the Net for cars, check here often. We like to post cars for sale and critique them. If nothing else, you'll learn about the good, bad (not by design) and otherwise of Hudsons.

Welcome aboard and have a great time.
