The original window sweeps in the 49 coupe were stapled on. I find that stapling is next to impossible. Are forum members glueing the sweeps on??
If there exists a method which is better than glue or if a member has succeeded in stapleing please let me know the method used.

Many Thanks.

Welcome to the site Nolan. I used 3M weathership adhesive to do mine. Worked like a charm.

What kind of shape is your 49 in? and you should upload a picture if you can.

Nolan, I've used stiff wire to simulate the staples through the original holes in the metal without any problems. If your original staples aren't rusted, you may be able to save some by carefully prying them back until the prongs are straight and then gently pull from the metal. If nothing else, you can use them as patterns for your new "staples". Welcome to this forum.
