Here is a neat item stainless steel door guards. They are cool, what is even cooler is the verbiage use to describe them.

"These are so shiny and slick looking you can hardly believe it! Really nice!!"

I don't, I swear I don't believe it.....

I wish they made these guards in a less "busy" design.

Their photo shows the condition of the item up for bid? WTF is that supposed to mean? There could be a vintage bologna sandwich inside for all we know.

Here is a guy who wants $2,000 for a Hudson rear fender. Who is this guy trying to kid. And its rusted. What a joker.

To help this guy out here is a NOS fender that is starting at $250 and may hit 350. Will not sell for 2k for that I want the rest of the car.

Yet another case of the "It's old, they don't make them anymore so it must be worth a fortune" syndrome.

You could probably take a pattern to a metal shop and have one hand made for much less than $2k.

OMG...

I got to comment on a few of these...

A couple of years back , we bought a 2 door rear fender, right side for quite a bit less, NOS. These are flat freaking metal, if you can't make them straight, patch them, you got more severe issues than needing new fenders (read your car has no frame...)

The valves are classic, I wish I had my x-ray glasses on so I could see the condition of them, I bet they are all rusty and no good.

As far as the door handle guards, Guys, these are the mild toned down version, unfortunately.... yuck! I bought a pair and put them on my 50 C-6, found a pair of four for $10 at hershey, in 2004. No sooner did I get them on, then I went and took them off. Perhaps on a 52-54 Hornet, but these look tacky on any 48-51, Ewww Ewww Ewww

I gave them to hudsondad, BTW, he was super happy...

Yep, if your fenders are so bad they need to be repalced, you have bigger fish to fry.

I though the the same thing about the valves. Probably pitted with rust.

Come to think about it, I have seen uglier door handle guards. At one time I thought about doing some such accessories. But, if you study the design of the step downs, it's perfect as is. Maybe carefully selected accessory or two would be fine. But the guys who shovel this crap on their cars makes them look cheap. Sometime less is more.
