Nice little 54 SuperJet 2 door. Looks to be in nice shape and the price is not bad. 2 doors are rare so this is a good deal for a driver. I don't care what anyone says these Jets are fun to drive and econmical. Rather be driving a Hudson like this to work. Of course my 51 Hornet is supremo but this is nice.
Don't knock a Jet until you have driven one.....styling aside they drive nice.

If you put skirts on them, even the 4dr models look OK. I've never driven one much less seen one. They almost look like a baby version of the 54 full sized cars.

You put Twin-H and a aluminum head and they go like stink had a ride in a Twin-H 2 dr Jet. I came back a tad pale. Lots of pickup and lots of go. Like a said comfortable car to drive, easy to park great gas mileage and looks ok to me so don't know why people complain about them. Its a Hudson for gosh darn sakes........

Being small, no doubt this car has many positive attributes. If good old Mr. Barit would have allowed it, a lower roofline would have helped in the looks department. All in all, it wasn't a bad design. However, if anything killed the Jet, it probably was arriving in the market at the wrong time and at the wrong price.

I have been thinking of getting one of these and chopping the top and maybe sectioning the body to correct the proportions so it looks more like the vision Frank Spring had for it.

Although I usually like to keep cars original, but in the instance of a Jet, I would condone radical surgery to correct the roof height. IMHO, the body is so plain, it wouldn't look good as a convertible. It could be fun morphing a Jet into something stylish.

Could you fit a 308 in the little Jet?

Yes I have seen it and you don't want to know how scary that is to drive. Tons of torque.....

Hudson engineers knew what they were doing. Not many stock straight sixes out there with the kind of torque we're used to.
