Took the cover of the 3spd trans in my 52, since I have it out, re doing the clutch seals etc.
Anyway I found out why low gear had an annoying howl.
First gear on the mainshaft and the counter shaft are chewed up pretty bad.
Proly from years of grabbing 1st when the car hasn't quite stopped,...or the clutch was a tad low on fluid.... or maybe Mr former owner grapped 1 st gear to release the clutch.... who knows?
It seems I am in need of some parts,..I've was told these are readily available, who is supplying?

Maybe I will post some pics when I get her apart as a "before and afterward"
