Hi just thought i would let you guys know i just got round to changing gearbox and motor mounts in the 54 and what a difference it made just amazing much quieter and the shift lever is better also the shift indicator lines up now. Thank you K Gap. still running on liguid petroleum gas no problems at all and its half the price of regular gas. Oil stays nice and clean so do plugs bit down on power output but not much (there's all ways a catch) just need to sort out the trans looks like the front seal. Only leaks when running and coming out of the flywheel area not sure if this is to big a job for me the torus puts me off i have never seen one still you never know! anyone out there had the box out of one of these? was it a B!!!! or what thanks for any help Baz Razz

Do you have the Hydramatic or the Borg Warner. Its a bit of a pain in the ass to do either but not that bad. I pulled my Hydramatic on my 51 on the floor. Never do that tom foolery again. Changing seals is not that bad.

Yup new mounts make a huge diff to the smooth running. Good to hear you're still at it.
