I am looking for front windshield gasket material for our 1930 Hudson Great Eight. The front window hinges out and the spongy gasket that went around it is shot. There is a track around the window. Any ideas where to get this sort of stuff? I checked the local parts store, but they only stock gasket and sealant for windshields that are fixed. Thanks in advance.

Zac

Zac,

you need to talk to Dany at K-Gap look in our links section for them. They sell all the rubber gaskets for Hudsons and he can either get it to you or tell you where you can get it. He is a great guy.

I always email them. They usually get back to me really quickly. My last 2 orders this year they got back to me within 30 mins. I do not call I just send email. Usually one of the daughters looks at that and passes on request pretty quickly. I will say do you have such and such a part I look it up on their online catalog then send email with part name and part number.

I state clearly do you have in stock or if not when are you getting in stock. They reply if they have in stock I ask for paypal invoice and they send parts on time both orders. When they do not have I wait and then if they say we will have stock in month I email back and say do you have. I never order stuff that is on back order.

This way I have gotten my orders on time.

I think with economy this family is really struggling and they have sick parents this is not an excuse but Hudson community is small and without them we are screwed for parts. So I take it upon myself to deal with them thinking unless they have in stock its not coming so no use sending money. But I have had zero problems getting them over email and I believe its because their kids monitor email and get the orders on track from there.

Give it a try its worked for me. Hope this helps
