Hey Doc!
Nice that you're asking, yesterday we did the last thing on the clutch, we refilled the fluid again and know it works as it should. The engine overhaulin is completely done, it runs like never before since i have that car. Real great job, done by Ziegler Racing here in Landau.
It's a friend of mine and mainly they build engines for racing cars like Opel Kadett C Coupe for the histo Cup Germany. He is a Specialist for Opel and VW 4-Cylinder-Engines. They take an OPEL 6-Zyl 3 Litre 24 Valve engine, cut it and built out of it a 4 Zyl. 3 Litre with up to 380 Horsepower!
I could win him to do the job on my Pacemaker-Engine. Now it runs extremly smooth and quiet, really good. It was not cheap, but i was glad that i found somebody who does that work and especially somebody, from whom i know that he CAN do that work solid.
I have to search the pictures we took while building in the overhauled engine and i will post them here and at the classiccar-hudsonforum. Also the paintjob is really nice done, red colour for block and head, for screws, manifold and other parts we took black...
@Roland: Hudson heaven in sweden...? ...i think i have to go there, too... Maybe we could arrange a little hudson-meet somewhere, sometime...?
Last year we could arrange one in switzerland, some pics are in that thread: Hudson Motorcar
