46 Coupe missing vin tag need HELP!

I just purchased a 1946 Hudson Coupe. It used to be a modified coupe racecar. It is now almost street drive able. I am trying to figure out a vin tag issue at the moment. It is legally registered with tags,state safety inspection etc to the previous owner. I now own the car and all the state stickers,registration etc are good, only there metal vin # tag is missing and I need it to pass a vin# verification for my state. Is there any place that makes a reproduction tag to replace lost or damaged tags?

I think you can get those VIN tags from K-Gap give them a call. I am at the National and they are here so I will ask them and post back here.

thank you. I did call them, message says they are at the nationals. be back 8/16. guess I wait 2 weeks to register car.

Yes I asked them and they do have the tags. They are $15

YAY !!! it's registered. Made a tag and went right through vin verification. Will buy one from K-Gap later and replace it so if I ever sell, it will be easy for the next owner...
