here is a 53 Hornet coupe for sale. Reading the ad I would say they want over 30K for it. Its seems that every Hudson for sale now has a 7X engine in it. These guys are clueless.

I called on this car a few months ago........$37K. Needless to say the conversation was short.

Yup coupes are skyrocketing. As we have said he before. For 37K that car should be perfect.

Hey Sean, the air cleaners on this car are the real early ones with oil bath canisters. They would not be correct for this car would they?
Art, did you sell the 32 yet?
Cheers Mike.

Those air cleaners are correct for this car. They are the correct square outlet oil bath air cleaners that were an option for Twin H equipped cars. I have the same air cleaners. They were valid through 1954. In 55 AMC introduced the round outlet air cleaners.

Hey Mike,
Have been trying locally to sell the coupe and we took it to Daytona in Nov. Prices are way down for 32`s at the moment, but I have a new ad coming out in Racing Junk this coming week. I was asking 37,500., but my new price will be 32,500. I`ve found a few cars that have slipped by, but no worries, I`ll have my ducks in a row soon enough. Cheers, Art

I'm sure will get there in the end Art. I am still trying to sell my H2 Kawasaki, same sort of deal, everyone wants it but no one has come up with the $.
Sean, were there square mouthed twin H aircleaners without the oil bath end on them also? I thought I had seen some and assumed they were the 52/53 ones and that the oil bath ones were 51. Its good to be able to find out this stuff from you. Cheers Mike.

Yes there were square mouthed air cleaners that were not oil bath. They had a mesh in them that you soaked in oil then dried. Later you could fit paper elements instead of the mesh.
